How to Apply

Applying to the American English Academy is simple. Follow the steps below to begin your journey toward studying English in the United States.

Step 1: Complete the Student Application

Submit the online Student Application Form.

Once your application has been received, an Admissions Representative will contact you with instructions regarding the required documents, tuition, and application fees.

Step 2: Submit Your Financial Documents

To receive a Form I-20, U.S. immigration regulations require students to provide proof of sufficient financial resources.

Required Financial Evidence

  • US$15,000 for the F-1 student
  • US$5,000 for each dependent (spouse or child)

Acceptable financial documents include a recent bank statement or an official letter from a financial institution.

If You Are Bringing Dependents

Complete and submit a Dependent Information Form for each accompanying family member.

If You Have a Financial Sponsor

Your sponsor must provide:

  • A completed Sponsorship Letter
  • Proof of financial support (such as a recent bank statement)

Important: All financial documents and I-20 supporting documentation must be dated within three (3) months of your admission date.

Step 3: Receive Your Form I-20

Once all required documents have been received, verified, and all applicable fees have been paid, the American English Academy will issue and email you:

  • Your official Form I-20
  • Your Letter of Acceptance

Step 4: Apply for Your F-1 Student Visa

After receiving your Form I-20, you should:

  1. Pay the SEVIS I-901 Fee.
  2. Schedule and attend your F-1 visa interview at the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
  3. Present all required documentation during your visa appointment.

Step 5: Arrive in the United States

Once your F-1 visa has been approved, you may travel to the United States in accordance with the entry dates listed on your Form I-20.

After your arrival, report to the American English Academy to:

  • Complete your registration
  • Attend orientation (if applicable)
  • Begin your classes

We look forward to welcoming you and supporting you throughout your English-learning journey.
