Intensive ESL Programs

Full-Time ESL Program – 8 Levels

The American English Academy offers a comprehensive 8-level ESL (English as a Second Language) program designed to help students build fluency, accuracy, and confidence in English for academic, professional, and everyday communication.


Program Overview


Our full-time ESL course is structured into 8 progressive levels, from beginner to advanced. Each level is carefully crafted to meet the needs of learners at different stages of language acquisition, ensuring measurable improvement and a strong foundation in all key skill areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary and Pronunciation.


Level Breakdown

  • Levels 1–2: Basic English
    Focus on foundational vocabulary, simple sentence structure, and basic communication for everyday situations.
  • Levels 3–4: High Beginner to Low Intermediate
    Development of conversation skills, reading and writing short texts, and increased listening comprehension.
  • Levels 5–6: Intermediate to High Intermediate
    Emphasis on accuracy, fluency, and critical thinking through discussions, presentations, and writing assignments.
  • Levels 7–8: Advanced English
    Preparation for academic and professional use of English, including essay writing, advanced grammar, academic reading, and formal presentations.


Program Details

  • Duration: Each level is completed in 11 weeks
  • Schedule: Full-time classes meet Monday through Thursday.
  • Placement Test: New students take a placement test to determine their appropriate starting level.
  • Progress Evaluation: Students are assessed through a midterm, a final, speaking and written tests to ensure they’re meeting learning objectives.


Outcomes

Upon completion of all 8 levels, students will be able to:


  1. Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning.
  2. Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.
  3. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
  4. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

Full-Time TOEFL Preparation Course

Our TOEFL Preparation Course is a full-time, intensive program designed to help students achieve their highest possible score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). The course is ideal for learners who plan to apply to English-speaking universities, pursue professional certification, or demonstrate advanced English proficiency for academic or immigration purposes.


Course Objectives 

  • Familiarize students with the structure and timing of the TOEFL iBT
  • Build the academic English skills tested in all four sections:
    Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing
  • Develop effective test-taking strategies and time management
  • Provide regular practice with real TOEFL-style questions and full-length simulations
  • Improve critical thinking and language accuracy for academic contexts


Who Should Enroll


This course is suitable for intermediate to advanced English learners (equivalent to CEFR B2–C1). A placement test is required to ensure students meet the entry-level language requirement.
